Frame Walk-Through: CHECK!

We had our frame walk-through on Monday (Labor Day). We had to go through the house and make sure all of our wiring was in place. We got to decide where all the tv/cable/dish outlets were to be placed in all the rooms of the house so we made sure all of those were in place where we wanted them. We also took measurements of the main walls with the water lines so we made sure we wouldn't drill where there was a line. (Who would have thought?!) The drywall should be up by now, if not the end of this week! While were in the house, we could see the drywall stacked up in the great room and the master bedroom ready to go! Our HVAC unit was also in place as well as our Smart Vent! (Which we're very excited for!) One other plus is our radiant barrier Tech Sheild is up and already working it's magic! That alone will save our lives in the summer as well as our bills! KB Home is a green builder and we're very thankful for all of their green materials that will be used to build our home! KB Home has been so efficient with everything and it's all going smoothly, our move-in date has been moved up! Our house will now be completed sometime between October 20-25! We are so excited that we'll be in our house in time for Halloween and all the trick-or-treaters! (We know what your thinking and the answer is yes....Vanessa will find the Halloween decorations and get them our even if it will only be for a week!)

This is the Tech Sheild that will keep our house cool in the summer and warm in the winter! Our garage is also finished and complete with this feature as well!



Here is our Smart Vent- it will circulate cool air into the house automatically when it reaches warm weather and help circulate the air in the winter! We don't forsee much use of the AC unless it will be over 100 degrees! Between the Smart Vent and the Tech Sheild we'll have it made!

We saw this while we were walking around! All the frames are pre-fabricated at a KB Home Warehouse, goes through inspection constantly, then is brought over to the home site. This allows for efficiency with the building process rather than building the whole frame on site and having to wait on inspections after every step. This must have been one part of the kit that was labeled for our lot!
