Let the Countdown Begin! 9 More Days Until Move-In!!!!!

We only have 9 more days until we move into our very first home! Here are some more updates:

We decided to take both of our parents to the house on Saturday so they could see the progress so far. We knew they would be excited to see all the appliances installed and the exterior paint. As we arrived, the landscapers were workin’ away and were almost done with everything. The sprinkler system is in and running and the front yard looks great! It really ties the whole house together. We’re just waiting for those few extra coats of paint on the door, and the exterior will be finished! All that is left are the medicine cabinets and mirrors in the bathrooms, the shower door in the master bath and then the carpet! Everything else is pretty much done!

We also had our pre-carpet walkthrough on Monday to go over everything in the house. The superintendent of the construction team went through the house with us showing what all our switches operate, how to work the smart vent, where everything is and we tested all the appliances. Everything works! We have a few changes that need to be done but for the most part, nothing that can’t be easily taken care of. Our carpet will be installed tomorrow (Wednesday)!!!!!! We might get a sneak peak of it but if not, we’re locked out until our FINAL walkthrough on Wednesday October 21st! We should have our keys by the next day October 22nd! We can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!! Our faucets in the master bath.....We are so happy we decided to go with the brushed nickel for all of our bathroom faucets. It matches the lighting fixtures so well!
