Troy and Vanessa's First Home: What a Wonderful Housewarming!

First of all, we would like to thank all of you that came to help us warm our home at our housewarming party last weekend. And for those if you who could not make it, we hope to see you real soon!!!! It was a blast planning for it and we were really excited to have our first big party and entertain! Vanessa was mostly excited for her first time entertaining for such a huge party and preparing all the food! We decided to go with an Italian antipasto theme for the food and ran with it! Complete with mini desserts that Vanessa baked on her own! There were lots of munchies and finger foods and we hope you enjoyed it all! Troy's pasta salad was a huge hit! (He was very proud of his famous dish!) We also would like to give a big thank you to Corie for staying and helping us prep the night before! We couldn't have done it without you! And also another big thank you to Vanessa's parents for coming early to help set everything up!

It was so wonderful to have a house full of friends and family. We wish we were able to spend more time with everyone as it was a little hectic. But this was just a first of many more fun gatherings we plan to have in our home!

As you all saw, we're still getting settled and still have some empty walls to work with and things here and there that we'll still be working on to really make our home come together. Including new blinds! (We're sure you noticed our super stylish paper blinds we have now!) We plan on getting blinds soon and the one project that will take some time is our backyard. We are thankful to have a clean slate to start fresh with, but that is going to be a big project to take on. When that is done, we guarantee there will be summer backyard BBQ invites for all of you! We're really looking forward to that!
