First Project: Painting!!!!

So Vanessa couldn't wait and really wanted to get the interior painted. We decided to paint the great room / hallway a very neutral tan. The kitchen is along the lines of a sage green. The laundry room will be a light latte brown and the master will be a Tiffany blue. We were fortunate enough to have a friend who used to work as a painter to come and help us with this project as we're going to be covering a large portion of our interior with paint. We started on saturday and Vanessa was so anxious with getting the painting done that she had to jump in and help. She ended up painting pretty much the whole kitchen, laundry room and most of the master. She's left the "cutting in" for our friend who is painting :). Here are some pictures of the progress so far...

Sample after paint sample, we finally chose a blue that was perfect for our master bedroom. Blue is not an easy color to work with! We were determined to find the right one!

Here is the work that was started ont he great room. We picked the neutral color with the first pick! Wish all the colors were that easy to choose! Color: Softer Tan

Here is the laundry room in progress. Color: Latte

Here is the kitchen- now the picture makes it look a lot more green than it is in person. It really draws your attention to the kitchen as soon as you walk in which was what our intention was. Color: Haven

And last but not least, here is the master! We wanted a calm, soothing feeling in our room and this color really expresses that. Color: Honest Blue
We're getting really close to being done with the painting. We must say though, thank goodness this is a one and done kind of deal. Our house has been in shambles since we started painting and we are ready to have everything back in it's place as soon as possible! We decided to wait on painting the office, guest bedroom and both bathrooms for now. We will post pictures of everything once it's finished!
